Job Description

Deloitte LLP is seeking an experienced Associate Director to join our R&D tax services group in Leeds. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing projects, preparing R&D claims, and building client relationships.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead projects and serve as the main point of contact for senior stakeholders, including financial controllers, finance directors, and chief finance officers.
  • Build eminence in the market and identify opportunities to grow the Midlands practice.
  • Develop an internal network within Deloitte and gain an understanding of the services the firm can offer to broaden client relationships and differentiate us in the market.
  • Work within a project team to ensure robust R&D claims are prepared while building deep client relationships.
  • Prepare clear reports for submission to HMRC to explain how our clients' R&D claims have been prepared.
  • Provide technical input into marketing and sales activity based on your area of engineering or scientific knowledge and experience.
  • Work effectively in diverse teams within an inclusive team culture where people are recognized for their contribution.
  • Project manage a variety of projects at any given time and delegate tasks to the technical and finance team.
Requirements:
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work within multi-disciplinary teams, taking responsibility for the technical aspects of R&D claims on behalf of manufacturing and engineering companies.
  • Well-organized and able to manage multiple projects and handle conflicting demands in a timely manner.
