We are seeking a skilled Tendering Engineer to join our team due to an increase in upcoming projects in the field of electrical engineering.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare Cost Budgets and Estimates: Develop and maintain accurate cost budgets and estimates for new contracts, ensuring consistency and alignment with company standards and guidelines.
  • Building Cost Estimates: Prepare detailed building cost estimates for electrical projects, including 33kV – 132kV, with a strong understanding of UK DNO's requirements (G81) for Contestable Works.
  • Battery Storage Projects: Develop knowledge of BOP works associated with Battery Storage Projects, with a focus on maximizing profit and customer satisfaction.
  • Proposal Development: Prepare detailed, well-written proposals for each client, adhering to client guidelines while offering competitive and comprehensive cost estimates.
  • Client Relationships: Maintain relationships with existing clients, seeking out new business opportunities and building strong relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with the Tendering Manager and Design Team to develop, innovate, and create new solutions for clients.
  • Documentation and Record-Keeping: Keep detailed records of all estimation documentation, including site assessments and contract terms.
  • Proposal Management: Balance multiple proposals and estimations simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery to clients.
  • Business Development: Liaise with other company departments to drive business development and innovation.
Requirements:
  • Experience: Experience working in a fast-paced engineering environment, with a strong background in electrical engineering.
  • Customer-Facing Skills: Strong customer-facing skills with a sales and customer service background.
  • Computer Literacy: Computer literacy with experience of Microsoft Office software, including PowerPoint, Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Driving License: A valid driving license.
