Night Hygiene Team Leader

We are pleased to announce a newly established position within our Hygiene department at Cranswick Country Foods PLC. The successful applicant will foster a culture of continuous improvement while leading a dedicated hygiene team to uphold the cleanliness and hygiene standards of our facility throughout the night shift.
The role encompasses the overall management of the night hygiene operations, serving as the primary contact for all hygiene-related tasks, challenges, and opportunities.
Adhering to health and safety regulations while ensuring compliance with food safety, hygiene, and quality standards is of utmost importance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the hygiene team to ensure all cleaning duties are executed as required, maintaining accurate records to demonstrate compliance.
- Collaborate with production leaders to guarantee that all areas are kept to the highest standards.
- Ensure all equipment and areas are thoroughly cleaned before returning them to production, addressing any discrepancies with the Hygiene Team Leaders.
- Monitor the concentration of cleaning agents to ensure they meet required specifications and take corrective actions as necessary.
- Conduct performance reviews and one-on-one meetings with Hygiene Team Leaders.
- Audit the cleaning activities of the night hygiene team alongside the Hygiene Team Leader to ensure compliance with established standards, providing guidance and training as needed.
- Maintain comprehensive training records for the hygiene team.
- Assist the Night Hygiene Manager in managing stock levels of energy, water, chemicals, and cleaning supplies.
- Support the Night Hygiene Manager in ensuring compliance with all relevant customer and legal standards throughout the facility.
- Act as the main point of contact for operational and engineering staff during night shifts to assist with any requests.
Candidate Qualifications:
- Proven experience in people management.
- Dependable with excellent time management skills.
- Detail-oriented and conscientious.
- Strong team player with a positive attitude.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to follow instructions accurately.
- Maintain a professional and courteous demeanor at all times.
- Cooperative, enthusiastic, and organized approach.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively.
Additionally, you will participate in any training deemed necessary by the company to fulfill the responsibilities outlined above.
Shift Pattern: 3 on, 1 off - 3 on, 7 off from 6:15 PM to 7:00 AM (flexibility around core hours is essential).
Candidates should possess strong communication and organizational skills, along with proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Power BI) to foster positive relationships and enhance team morale.
