Toro Recruitment is seeking a skilled Mechanical Design Engineer to join our client's team in the water industry. As a Mechanical Design Engineer, you will be part of a multi-disciplined team responsible for producing design deliverables for water, wastewater, and treatment plants.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with a team of engineers to produce design deliverables for water and wastewater treatment plants.
  • Assist in all aspects of mechanical design, including site surveys, feasibility studies, detailed design, and tender pricing.
  • Produce procurement specifications for mechanical equipment, hydraulic calculations, and detailed design construction drawings.
  • Project manage third-party designs and provide design assistance to installation and commissioning teams.
  • Undertake and check design calculations, including hydraulics and pumping systems.
  • Create CAD drawings and conduct design risk assessments to support detailed design proposals.
  • Prepare detailed mechanical specifications.

Requirements:

  • Full clean UK driving license.
  • Minimum 2 years related experience in Mechanical design, preferably in the UK water sector.
  • An appropriate engineering qualification or time served. Ongoing CPD.

Benefits:

  • 25 days holiday + BH.
  • Rate: £40,000 to £50,000pa DOE.
  • Hours: Monday to Friday 40 hours a week.
  • Contract: Full-time permanent.
