Are you a skilled surveyor looking for a new challenge? We are currently seeking a Building Surveyor to join our team at BRC, a leading Housing Association in Devon.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Conduct stock condition surveys to improve the energy performance of our housing stock in South Devon.
  • Arrange and undertake energy performance surveys and assessments, assisting with the delivery of energy improvement works.
  • Review the lifecycle and renewing of windows, doors, kitchens, bathrooms, and general cyclical decorations.
  • Undertake risk assessments in accordance with the Housing Health and Safety Rating System (HHSRS) and take appropriate action.
  • Carry out surveys, prepare work specifications and schedules, and liaise with contractors to arrange works.
  • Ensure works are in-line with CDM regulations and identify and issue party wall and other notices when required.
  • Responsible for identifying the presence of asbestos and organizing its removal in both void and tenanted properties.
  • Certify interim and final accounts in respect of contract/works under supervision in accordance with approved Financial Regulations.
  • Liaise and communicate with tenants, tenant groups, leaseholders, and tenant associations to ensure high customer satisfaction returns.
