Job Summary

The Business Risk and Control Officer is a strategic professional who plays a critical role in ensuring the effective management of business risks and controls within the organization. This role requires a deep understanding of risk management principles, control frameworks, and governance practices.

Key Responsibilities
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of risk management strategies and control frameworks that align with the organization's goals and objectives.
  • Assist in the identification, assessment, and mitigation of business risks, including operational, compliance, and reputational risks.
  • Support the review and challenge process for controls to ensure their effectiveness in mitigating risks.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the timely and accurate completion of risk assessments and control monitoring activities.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including business leaders, risk managers, and control owners.
  • Provide guidance and support to teams on risk management best practices and control frameworks.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of training programs to enhance risk management skills and knowledge.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as business, finance, or risk management.
  • Proven experience in risk management, control frameworks, or a related field.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and develop effective solutions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree in a relevant field.
  • Professional certifications, such as CFA or CISM.
  • Experience with risk management software and tools.
