About the Role

This is a fantastic opportunity to further your career in facilities management with OCS Group. We are seeking an experienced Electrical & Mechanical Engineer to oversee the delivery and implementation of Electrical/Mechanical Safe Systems at Work and manage Sub-contractors.

Main Duties & Responsibilities
  • As an Electrical Engineer, you will effectively manage Risk, safe systems of work and authorise Competent persons (CP's), in accordance with Engineering policy and relevant standards.
  • Maintaining the identity and importance of the Electrical Safety Rules, Electrical awareness, and training. Appoint competent persons (CP's) on site in line with company policies, standards, and procedures
  • Promote our business Health & Safety, Environmental, Quality policy and our organisations working values.
  • Review all risk work, safety programmes and supporting documentation. Provide guidance support and technical advice to the team and Sub Contractors
  • Carry out regular safe inspections, safety interventions and near miss assessments, auditing, reviewing quality, compliance, and schedule contractual obligations. Ensuring documentation is completed in a timely manner.
  • Responsible for issuing permits to sub-contractors, working at height, confined spaces, electrical, Mechanical and access. This includes but limited to checking Sub-contractor rams, Personal protective equipment, and complete management of Sub-contractors while on site.
Professional Qualifications Required
  • JIB Approved electrician
  • Holding both JIB Gold Craft and Black Electrical Contracts Management ECS cards
  • A member of the IET
  • EAL 600/4338/6 Level 3 award Periodic inspection testing
  • Certification of electrical installations – EAL 600/4337/4 Level 3 award Initial verification and certification of electrical installations
  • C&G/NVQ Electrical Inspection and testing
  • 18th Edition Electrical installation 2382
