About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Work Based Learning Tutor to join our team at The Sheffield College. As a Work Based Learning Tutor, you will play a key role in shaping the future of healthcare science by developing, driving, and improving the delivery of the BTEC Diploma Level 2 qualification in Healthcare Science.

You will be part of a collaborative team of NHS and College Healthcare professionals, working together to provide a high-quality teaching and learning experience for our students. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Programme Development and Delivery
  • Monitoring and evaluating the quality of teaching and learning, implementing improvements where necessary
  • Conducting regular reviews and updates of the curriculum to ensure relevance and compliance with accreditation standards
  • Providing academic and pastoral support to students, fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment
  • Facilitating career development and progression opportunities for students within the healthcare sector
  • Working collaboratively with colleagues, employers, and industry partners to enhance the learning experience and employability of students

We are looking for a candidate who embodies the following qualities:

  • TAQA Assessor qualification or willingness to work towards
  • Ability to innovate and adapt to changing educational and industry landscapes
  • Working knowledge of Government Funded Training Programmes
  • Understanding of Quality Assurance Standards
