As part of our Child Protection Service, you will work in a busy and supportive team assessing and working with vulnerable children and their families, intervening where necessary to provide support.
The service ensures a strong link with our Integrated Prevention and Earliest Help colleagues to promote local community support for children and families.
Successful candidates must be able to attend the locality 3 days per week, with no negotiations on days.
Working in accordance with social care legislation and local government requirements, you will support the delivery of person-centred, safe, and effective social care services.
You will make assessments and decisions about the most appropriate interventions, applying your professional knowledge and experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess and work with vulnerable children and their families
- Intervene where necessary to provide support
- Work in accordance with social care legislation and local government requirements
- Support the delivery of person-centred, safe, and effective social care services
Requirements:
- Experience as a Qualified Social Worker
- Passion for working with vulnerable children and families
- Ability to work in a busy and supportive team environment
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
