Financial Management Assistant

Atlas Workplace Services is on the lookout for a dedicated and detail-oriented Financial Management Assistant to enhance our finance department.
This position plays a vital role in delivering financial insights, oversight, and assistance to the management team, contributing to the overall success of Atlas through precise financial reporting and analysis.
This is a hybrid position, requiring attendance in our office for at least two days each week.
Key Duties:
- Financial Reporting and Projections: Aid in the precise reporting and forecasting of financial outcomes for Atlas Companies, ensuring compliance with our month-end schedule.
- Preparation of Management Accounts: Assist in the formulation of management accounts for Atlas Workplace Services within eight working days post month-end.
- Performance Evaluation Meetings: Engage in monthly discussions with Operations and Commercial teams to assess the financial performance of specific contracts.
- Data Accuracy: Ensure the precision and reliability of essential financial data for use in ad hoc reporting and analysis.
- Balance Sheet Reconciliation: Conduct balance sheet reconciliations for review at both contract and corporate levels.
- Process Enhancement: Collaborate with the broader Finance team to refine information systems and internal processes that impact financial reporting and controls.
- Miscellaneous Tasks: Assist the Finance Business Partner and Financial Controller with various responsibilities, including completing necessary questionnaires as required.
Required Qualifications, Certifications, and Training:
- GCSE in English and Maths or equivalent.
Essential Skills and Experience:
- Communication Abilities: Proficient in conveying information effectively to both financial and non-financial personnel.
- Flexibility: Open to recommending, accepting, and promoting changes within the organization.
- System Enhancement: Capable of critically evaluating and suggesting improvements to the existing reporting systems.
- Accounting Expertise: Proven knowledge and skill in variance analysis and month-end accounting practices.
- Excel Proficiency: Intermediate skills in Excel are essential.
