Holt Executive is partnering with a leading design and manufacturing company to find a skilled Mechanical Design Engineer to join their team.

The company works in various industry sectors, including Naval Defence, Maritime, and Marine Science and Technology.

The successful candidate will assist in developing innovative and technologically advanced instruments and systems for challenging applications.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design scientific instrumentation from concept to final product.
  • Create and maintain engineering documentation.
  • Support manufacturing processes.
  • Liaise with customers to address their needs and feedback.
  • Conduct product testing and oversee on-site commissioning.
Key Skills and Experience:
  • Deep understanding of mechanics and mechanical principles.
  • Ability to translate theoretical knowledge into a field-ready product.
  • Experience in design work from concept through to medium-volume manufacture.
  • Proficiency in standard drawing office requirements.
Requirements:

A strong understanding of fundamental engineering principles is essential.

Applicants should have a degree in Mechanical Engineering (2.1 or higher) from a recognized university and demonstrate significant design ability and a solid engineering knowledge base.

Security Clearance:

Security clearance will be applied for on appointment. UK passport holders are required, along with proof of residency in the UK for the last 5 years.
