Job Summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Lead Waiting List Coordinator in Urology within our team at Somerset NHS Foundation Trust.

Main Duties of the Job

You will be responsible for the coordination and organization of a comprehensive patient-centered admission service, ensuring continuity in achieving excellence in patient care within local and national time frames.

You will make decisions that will lead to good booking practice and the provision of an excellent support mechanism for both patients and clinical teams.

You will support and supervise lower-band members of the Admissions Team to ensure admissions processes are followed and that waiting lists and theatre lists are managed efficiently and effectively.

Qualifications and Experience

  • NVQ Level 3 in Business Administration or equivalent, or demonstrable relevant experience
  • Good standard of education up to GCSE or O level (A to C) standard
  • Computer/Word processing qualification equivalent
  • Level of knowledge and understanding of waiting lists, hospital booking processes, and medical terminology to be able to work at the required standard
