Mechanical Design Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Design Engineer to join our client, a leading manufacturing company based in Dungannon. As a Mechanical Design Engineer, you will play a key role in the design and development of new products, improving existing designs, and ensuring compliance with legislation and customer requirements.
Key Responsibilities:- Design and develop new products, including NPI, service fixes, and product improvements
- Take ownership of projects and deliver high-quality results
- Collaborate with the product team to ensure system, structural, and functional requirements are met
- Prototype build support and testing
- Design detailing, accurate BOM compilation, and drawing release
- Coordinate with other parts of the engineering team
- Identify and implement cost-reduction opportunities
- Adhere to company policies regarding statutory obligations and H&S requirements
- Failure investigation and analysis, including introduction of containment and countermeasures
- Degree qualified in mechanical engineering or similar discipline
- Minimum of 3 years' experience in a manufacturing or heavy manufacturing setting
- Strong passion for engineering and hands-on experience
- Effective communication skills, oral and written
