Artemis Human Capital is partnering exclusively with a leading global engineering company to identify a highly motivated and experienced Finance Director. This role offers an exceptional opportunity for a commercially astute accountant to lead the finance function and contribute significantly to the company's continued growth.

As Finance Director, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing all aspects of financial operations across multiple UK sites. Your responsibilities will encompass strategic financial planning, reporting, analysis, and ensuring regulatory compliance.

The Role:
  • Lead the production of accurate and timely accounts for all UK sites.
  • Develop and implement robust reporting processes to support informed strategic decision-making at a group level.
  • Prepare comprehensive board packs and ad hoc reports for key stakeholders, providing clear and concise financial insights.
  • Analyze sales projections, income forecasts, and overhead expenses against actual figures, identifying trends and areas for improvement.
  • Develop and implement Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to drive profitability and operational efficiency.
  • Oversee project finance activities and collaborate closely with operational managers to ensure financial alignment.
  • Ensure strict adherence to all relevant regulatory requirements across the group.
The Person:
  • Qualified accountant (ACA/ ACCA/ CIMA) with a minimum of 8 years post-qualification experience in a demanding finance function.
  • Exceptional analytical skills with a proven ability to interpret complex financial data and provide actionable insights.
  • Advanced Excel proficiency and experience in utilizing financial modeling techniques for budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, enabling effective collaboration at all levels within the organization.
  • Experience within the engineering, manufacturing, or construction sectors would be highly advantageous.
