Position Overview

Reed Engineering is seeking a Versatile Maintenance Technician to join our dynamic team. This role is crucial for enhancing the efficiency of our operational processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee and execute all scheduled preventive and corrective maintenance tasks to guarantee safe operations and equipment dependability.
  • Ensure that all maintenance activities are performed in compliance with company policies and relevant regulations, maintaining high standards of quality and craftsmanship.
  • Monitor and report on equipment reliability metrics, identifying areas for maintenance and equipment enhancements.
  • Lead troubleshooting efforts for technical issues related to assets and equipment, collaborating with manufacturing teams, original equipment manufacturers (OEMs), and service contractors.
  • Identify essential spare parts, manage inventory levels, and ensure timely ordering to maintain operational readiness.
  • Uphold cleanliness and organization of the site and equipment in accordance with established standards.
Work Schedule

This position operates on a Monday to Friday schedule, primarily during daytime hours.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A recognized qualification as a Mechanical Maintenance Technician, with a minimum of NVQ Level 3 or BTEC.
  • Experience in implementing and managing Planned Preventive Maintenance (PPM) within a maintenance environment.
  • A solid understanding of continuous improvement methodologies, including 5S, Lean Manufacturing, and Root Cause Analysis.
Preferred Experience

Experience in the manufacturing sector, particularly within Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG), is advantageous.
