Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Hygiene Operative. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and sanitation of our factory, ensuring a safe and healthy working environment for our employees.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out daily cleaning tasks, including sweeping, mopping, and disinfecting of all areas of the factory
  • Deep clean large machinery and equipment, wearing personal protective equipment (PPE) as required
  • Work in various environments, including chilled and hot areas
  • Complete paperwork to document cleaning activities
  • Promote a culture of good health and safety within the workplace
  • Use and store chemicals safely and effectively
  • Report any damaged equipment or machinery to the facilities team

Requirements

  • Basic understanding of English, both verbal and written
  • Previous experience in a similar role is an advantage, but not necessary
  • Ability to work as part of a team and follow instructions
  • Basic knowledge of COSHH and HACCP procedures is highly advantageous
