Job Overview

We are currently looking for an Inventory Management Specialist to become a vital part of our Operations team. In this role, you will play a key part in ensuring that all inventory management procedures are executed in line with company policy. Your efforts will be crucial in maintaining accurate inventory records, facilitating effective reconciliation, and ensuring complete traceability.

Shift Schedule: 4 on 4 off Nights 18:00 to 06:00

Compensation: £28,411 Per Annum

As the chosen candidate, you will directly contribute to the operational success of our facility and will report to the Depot Support Manager.

Key Responsibilities of the Inventory Management Specialist include:

Collaborate with management and operational teams to ensure the accuracy of incoming and outgoing shipments. Oversee the Autostore inbound delivery system to guarantee compliance with network KPIs, ensuring loads are initiated within 24 hours of arrival and completed within 5 hours. Work alongside operational staff to ensure that any issues related to inbound deliveries are documented and addressed promptly or returned to the originating site using the correct procedures. Strive to minimize cross-offs in collaboration with operations where feasible. Ensure that any outbound orders requiring rework are completed promptly, maintaining high standards of customer service, and that all necessary documentation is processed. In partnership with shift managers, oversee the management of re-stacked pallets and related adjustments.

Required Qualifications

The ideal Inventory Management Specialist will possess the following skills, experience, and qualifications:

Flexibility to cover various roles within the inventory team. Strong attention to detail. Ability to manage time effectively to meet daily objectives. A team player who can also work independently. In-depth knowledge of on-site systems. Excellent communication abilities. Capability to work under tight deadlines. Strong problem-solving skills and persistence. A drive for personal and professional growth. Flexibility in work approach and shift patterns. Experience with Autostore WMS is preferred. Familiarity with SAP is a plus but not mandatory.
