Job Overview:
We are seeking skilled and motivated Mechanical Field Service Engineers to support our operations in the UK region. In this position, you will engage in the commissioning, troubleshooting, maintenance, and servicing of equipment associated with our Compression & Gas Turbines (SGT) product lines, which encompass Centrifugal & Reciprocating Compressors, Rotating Equipment, and Siemens Energy Small Gas Turbines (SGT).

Your Daily Responsibilities:
As a Mechanical Field Service Engineer, you will be expected to exhibit a professional, proactive, and adaptable approach to your responsibilities.

Your strong work ethic, initiative, and ability to work independently or collaboratively with diverse teams will be crucial.

Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills are vital for success in this role. A degree or vocational qualifications in Mechanical Engineering is preferred.

Competency in one or more of the aforementioned product lines, along with experience or training in routine maintenance, overhauls, installation, and commissioning tasks, is essential.

A willingness to cross-train on additional product lines will be beneficial.

Moreover, you should be prepared to mobilize on short notice for urgent situations and be open to extended periods away from home, including weekends and public holidays.

Offshore work may be a requirement, thus obtaining offshore working certifications is necessary. A valid UK driving license is also mandatory. Familiarity with tools such as Borescopes, Rotalign Laser Alignment, and other related equipment is advantageous. The ability to interpret piping and installation diagrams, general engineering drawings, and control schematics is critical.

Impact You Will Make:
  • Execute preventative and corrective maintenance tasks on Siemens Energy products.
  • Showcase knowledge and experience in the operation, service, and maintenance of driven equipment in both Gas Compression and Power Generation sectors.
  • Conduct mechanical installation, servicing, and repairs on Centrifugal and Reciprocating Compressors (Dresser Rand Designed) and Power Turbines (DR291 and Vectra) or equivalent.
  • Perform mechanical installation, servicing, and repairs on Siemens SGT or similar products.
  • Familiarity with other Siemens Energy Gas Turbines is a plus.
  • Understanding of Package Air, Fuel, and Oil auxiliary systems.
  • Carry out mechanical installation and commissioning activities on newly installed equipment.
  • Diagnose and resolve faults effectively.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and company operating instructions.
  • Engage in product training programs to maintain role competency and development.
  • Generate technical reports based on work performed and recommendations for enhancing customer satisfaction and system reliability.
  • Participate in root cause analysis and fault diagnostics as needed.
