Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Production Manager to join our team at the Culina Group. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing the production process and ensuring that our products meet the highest standards of quality and safety.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage production lines and labor to meet planned volume and commercial targets, and in accordance with quality and safety standards.
- Effectively motivate a team of people to meet production targets and promote a culture of excellence within the team.
- Ensure that the final product meets client specifications and quality standards.
- Maximize production efficiency to ensure plans are met on an hourly/daily basis.
- Effectively use the integrated management system to monitor and control production processes.
- Adhere to and promote best practice in accordance with company health, safety, and quality regulations.
- Ensure that all paperwork and systems are completed and accurate in accordance with company procedures.
- Ensure that all areas comply with hygienic audits, both internal and external.
- Ensure that GMP (good manufacturing practices) and housekeeping (clean as you go) are strictly adhered to.
- Liaise with agency controllers on a day-to-day basis to provide feedback regarding agency workers.
- Attend team leader meetings to discuss production targets and strategies.
- Assist in the training and development of new starters to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their roles effectively.
- Act as a role model for best practice and promote a culture of excellence within the team.
- Monitor, control, and minimize waste to optimize production efficiency.
- Play an active part in continuous improvement initiatives to drive business growth and excellence.
- Conduct RTW (return to work) and disciplinary interviews as required.
- Participate in the company's appraisal system to ensure that employees are recognized and rewarded for their contributions.
- Drive own personal development through training and work-based experience to stay up-to-date with industry best practices.
- Undertake such other duties as may be required from time to time, that reasonably fall within the scope and grade of the post.
