This organization is looking to recruit a passionate part-time Paddle Sports Instructor to enhance their Outdoor Education team. The role involves delivering engaging paddle sports sessions across various divisions.

The ideal candidate should possess the ability to coach paddle sports effectively. There will be opportunities to participate in expeditions and lead additional activities such as sailing coaching if appropriately qualified.

Position Details:

  • Part-time commitment of 2 to 4 afternoons weekly based on seasonal requirements
  • Availability for some weekends and school holidays may be necessary
  • Competitive remuneration based on experience

The Outdoor Education department is vibrant and dynamic, offering a variety of canoeing, kayaking, and sailing experiences, alongside the Duke of Edinburgh's Award. Due to the growing interest in paddle sports, there is a need to expand the coaching team.

Primarily based at the Senior Boys site, the successful applicant will collaborate with the Head of Outdoor Education and the Paddle Sports team to enhance the existing canoeing and kayaking programs. Most paddle sports activities are conducted from a central location, with sessions also held at local swimming pools and lakes throughout the year.

Candidate Profile:

Applicants should be experienced in canoeing and/or kayaking, with a background in coaching young paddlers. While the preference is for a qualified coach, motivated individuals with relevant experience in clubs or schools are also encouraged to apply.

Working Hours:

This is a permanent position requiring approximately 2 to 4 afternoons per week during term time. The department typically operates Monday through Friday afternoons, with potential weekend and holiday work.
