About the Role
The University of Cambridge is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Head of Electronics to join our team. As a senior member of the Department, you will be responsible for leading the strategic development and transformation of the Department's electronics services.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and reinvigorate the provision of electronics support in the department, including planning finances and managing outsourcing/sharing resources with other departments.
- Lead and work operationally with the dedicated electronics team to ensure the smooth and efficient running of all electronics services within the Department.
- Work closely with the Head of Cavendish Estates to ensure the Department's approach to the electronics provision is both collaborative and innovative.
- Engage proactively with the department and be keen to support the wider goals of teaching and research.
Requirements
- A strong and forward-looking technical manager with extensive understanding of the modern field of electronics.
- Excellent leadership and management skills, with a clear commitment to service delivery.
- Solid experience as a team builder with excellent interpersonal skills.
- A clear understanding of the importance of collaboration and innovation in a departmental setting.
