Role Summary:
As a Revit Technician, you will be an integral part of our skilled Production Design Team, reporting directly to the Production Design Manager. Your main responsibilities will involve taking new projects from the Pre-Construction design phase through to completion and handover. You will be tasked with generating contract and construction drawings for various operational departments, utilizing Revit to create 3D technical drawings for modular construction projects with values ranging from £500k to £10m+.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate closely with the Production Design Team to produce planning and technical drawings for modular construction projects using Revit.
- Coordinate with design teams on structural, BCO, M&E, and architectural requirements, integrating input from contractors and consultants into the scheme drawings.
- Transform sketched designs into fully developed, practical solutions using the approved Build System.
- Create schedules in Revit for project costing, carbon analysis, and waste management.
- Contribute to internal and consultant performance assessments of building components and overall construction systems for ongoing sustainability evaluation.
- Research and apply technical details regarding material fixings, component performance, and construction specifics for analytical purposes.
- Maintain and update drawing schedules for multiple projects concurrently.
- Monitor and estimate project work hours for accurate quoting.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Minimum Architecture Part II Qualification or equivalent (CIAT Accepted) (Desirable)
- Proficient in Revit and image editing/desktop publishing software (Essential)
- Exceptional attention to detail and strong communication skills (Essential)
- Commitment to sustainability in construction and building performance (Essential)
- Relevant experience demonstrating competence in the field (Essential)
