About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to embark on a rewarding journey with Mcr Property Group, a leading independent real estate investment and development company. As an Intermediate or Project Quantity Surveyor, you will play a crucial role in the commercial function responsible for the financial delivery of assigned projects.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Advise on the selection of sub-contractors for package works, ensuring the best value for the company.
  2. Prepare and maintain a rolling cost-to-complete throughout the project, ensuring accurate financial projections.
  3. Complete the final account administration and manage the retention release close-out, ensuring seamless project closure.
  4. Provide internal reporting, including cost-to-complete, cashflows, project reports, and monthly project reviews, to support informed decision-making.
  5. Monitor cost control and implement cost mitigation strategies, assessing risk and acting fairly and reasonably to minimize financial impact.
  6. Contribute data to assist with the production of a monthly commercial report, fully describing the position and plan for management of risk, opportunity, cost, and value for delegated sub-contracts.
  7. Agree settlement of final accounts with your supply chain packages, ensuring timely and accurate payment.
Requirements
  1. Minimum 3 years' QS experience working on a range of projects and values, with a strong understanding of construction industry processes and procedures.
  2. Technical knowledge of building materials, techniques, and systems, with a focus on design-build contracts and construction industry best practices.
  3. Ability to understand and mitigate risk between the SC trade interface during the procurement stage, ensuring seamless project delivery.
  4. Knowledge of JCT Contract and ability to compile robust SC Trade Orders, ensuring accurate and timely project execution.
  5. Hold a full clean driving license, with the ability to travel to project sites as required.
