Branch Responsibilities:
Assigned to the North West Branch (Warrington), reporting directly to the Branch Manager, with oversight of junior surveyors and other branch personnel.
Specific Duties:
- Comprehend health and safety standards pertinent to tenders and contracts.
- Ensure precise estimates are produced in line with client specifications and industry best practices.
- Review contract and tender documents to mitigate risk factors.
- Acquire a comprehensive understanding of the local market dynamics.
- Assist in the development of tailored method statements for the branch.
- Understand the cost structure and production metrics to secure work for the branch.
- Establish and nurture a network of specialized subcontractors and suppliers to minimize dependency on any single entity.
- Set production targets and ensure contract cost value reports are established.
- Guarantee the quality of subcontract orders to prevent potential claims against the company.
- Monitor ongoing contract expenses against initial tender estimates.
- Identify and address cost variations promptly.
- Document all variations and extras, reaching agreements with clients as necessary.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures.
- Timely submission of payment applications in an agreed format to ensure prompt payment.
- Ensure timely payment of submitted invoices.
- Oversee and accrue sales rebates.
- Authorize subcontractor payments in accordance with company policy.
