Job Title: Security Assistant

At Assystem, we are committed to accelerating the energy transition worldwide. As a Security Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting our mission by ensuring the efficient and effective coordination of Personnel Security within the organisation.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Process vetting applications for staff and contractors, providing support and advice on all types of vetting.
  • Monitor existing clearances and proactively ensure renewals are carried out in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Advise and update on changes in policies and procedures in respect of vetting.
  • Ensure Personnel Security risks are effectively managed by conducting rigorous checks and applying ongoing Personnel Security controls throughout the organisation.
  • Act as a point of contact for staff and contractors for specific vetting and general security enquiries, ensuring they are dealt with effectively and efficiently.
  • Support on Security Incident reporting, follow-up actions, and sharing learning from experiences for any security near-misses.
  • Provide project-specific security support for key projects.
  • Be a point of contact for site-specific security responsibilities, providing general Security assistance to the Security Department as and when required.
Requirements:
  • Previous experience in a similar security role would be beneficial.
  • Attended DISA Training.
  • Must be able to gain and maintain appropriate security clearance.
