Job Summary:

Chesterfield College is seeking an enthusiastic and experienced professional to join our Construction team as a Construction Instructor. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching and training students on a range of programmes from Levels 1 to 2 in multi-skills construction courses.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach and train students on multi-skills construction courses in both workshops and classroom environments.
  • Develop and deliver curriculum content to meet the needs of students and industry requirements.
  • Assess student progress and provide feedback to improve their skills and knowledge.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure a high-quality learning experience for students.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments and best practices to inform teaching and training.

Requirements:

  • At least a Level 2 qualification in an associated trade (Brickwork, Plastering, Joinery, or Painting and Decorating).
  • Varied experience working in the Construction Industry.
  • A passion for teaching and training, with a desire to develop the next generation of construction workers.
  • Possession of a teacher training qualification or a relevant assessor award is an advantage.
