About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced clinician to lead our Specialist Back and Neck Service. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for shaping and delivering spinal services to complex patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the BANS team and provide clinical leadership to ensure high-quality patient care.
  • Develop and implement service development and quality improvement initiatives.
  • Embed and maintain a culture of evidence-based treatment within the team and organization.
  • Participate in research activities, including audit, service evaluation, literature reviews, and case studies.
  • Embody the company values and behaviors, promoting a positive and supportive work environment.
Requirements
  • Extensive specialist clinical experience and knowledge in musculoskeletal and spinal physiotherapy.
  • Evidence of recent study in a relevant clinical area.
  • Understanding of professional ethics and their application in practice.
  • Demonstrate understanding and involvement of clinical governance and risk assessment.
  • Broad knowledge of health legislation and current NHS, Health Education England, professional, and educational issues.
Qualifications and Experience
  • Clinician with relevant professional governing body registration (e.g., Physiotherapist, Osteopath, etc.).
  • MSc in Advanced Clinical Practice or equivalent.
  • Significant post-qualification experience (minimum 5 years) in musculoskeletal and spinal specialist roles.
Skills and Abilities
  • Evidence of both theoretical and practical skills and competency in patient management, advanced clinical practice, and clinical reasoning skills to an advanced practice level in musculoskeletal and spinal physiotherapy.
  • Able to critique research and information and implement relevant findings to own practice.
  • Able to give clear, concise written and verbal reports.
  • Presentation skills.
  • Advanced communications skills, including the ability to process and share highly complex information in a confidential manner.
  • Clinical leadership skills.
  • Demonstrate professional affairs in a confident, assertive manner, using negotiating/influencing skills while maintaining excellent working relationships with all stakeholders.
