Position: Secondary English Educator

Opportunity Available: Full-Time Long-Term Supply Role in a Secondary Educational Institution.

Are you a passionate English Educator looking for a teaching position in the upcoming academic term?

Teaching Personnel is actively seeking a Secondary English Educator to join one of our esteemed partner institutions. This role is a long-term full-time engagement for a minimum duration with the possibility of transitioning into a permanent position. We welcome applications from both seasoned educators and Early Career Teachers (ECTs). Proficiency in teaching English Language and English Literature to Key Stages 3 and 4 is a prerequisite. Compensation for this role will be based on experience, ranging from MPS1 to UPS3 (£150 - £255 per day).

Required Qualifications:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent credential
  • A degree in English Language or Literature
  • Prior experience teaching English in a secondary educational setting
  • Ability to confidently teach both English Language and Literature to Key Stages 3 and 4
  • Enhanced DBS check (on the update service)
  • References covering the last 24 months

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement a diverse range of English lessons tailored to various year groups and learning abilities
  • Deliver engaging English lessons that captivate all students and address individual learning needs
  • Regularly evaluate student progress and provide timely, constructive feedback to support their learning and development
  • Collaborate effectively with colleagues to enhance the English department's offerings
  • Maintain clear communication with both staff and students
  • Adhere to the institution's policies and procedures consistently
