Valcon is a leading consulting, technology, and data company seeking a highly experienced Cloud and Infrastructure Sr. Principal to join our team. As a key member of our Technology Practice, you will play a pivotal role in designing, implementing, and managing cloud and infrastructure solutions for our clients.
Key Responsibilities:- Assess client needs and provide expert guidance on cloud strategy, recommending a tailored approach to cloud adoption.
- Architect scalable, secure, and reliable cloud infrastructures tailored to client requirements.
- Plan, deploy, and manage IT infrastructure, including networking, storage, and compute resources.
- Lead hybrid cloud migration projects, identifying the best approach for moving workloads, data, and applications between on-premises and cloud environments.
- Ensure seamless interoperability between public cloud services and on-premises infrastructure, optimizing for performance, security, and cost-efficiency.
- Design cloud operating models to support cloud infrastructure and services, developing governance models to ensure compliance, security, and operational standards.
- Continuously monitor and optimize cloud and infrastructure solutions to improve performance, cost-efficiency, and reliability.
- Ensure solutions adhere to security best practices and meet industry regulations.
- Implement infrastructure as code (IaC), automate processes, and drive DevOps practices for continuous integration and delivery (CI/CD).
- Design and implement robust disaster recovery and backup solutions for cloud environments.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Experience in cloud and infrastructure consulting, with a strong focus on cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, etc.).
- Proficiency in cloud architecture, networking, security, and storage systems.
- Hands-on experience with cloud migration and multi-cloud environments.
- Familiarity with infrastructure as code tools (Terraform, CloudFormation, Ansible, etc.).
- Strong understanding of DevOps practices and tools (CI/CD pipelines, Jenkins, Kubernetes, Docker, etc.).
- Knowledge of security frameworks and best practices for cloud infrastructure.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong communication and client-facing skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
