Educational and Experience CriteriaCompletion of secondary education with a minimum of GSE Grade C in English and Mathematics. A recognized apprenticeship in the aviation sector is mandatory. Candidates should possess experience within an EASA Part 145 organization and have a solid understanding of EASA regulations, process specifications, Repair Station, Quality Control manuals, and corporate policies.
Role Objective: The Aerospace Maintenance Technician I, under guidance, executes or assists in the inspection, upkeep, and repair of aircraft systems and structures. Takes on the responsibilities of the Maintenance Team Lead when necessary and as directed by the Service Team Manager.
Job ResponsibilitiesPrimary Duties:
- Engage in effective communication to comprehend and execute work assignments. Conduct aircraft inspections, repairs, and modifications under the supervision of certified personnel. Aid in the movement of aircraft as needed.
- Accurately complete CMP cards, work order sign-offs, and other documentation promptly.
- Ensure that all completed work adheres to quality standards and specifications.
- Correctly identify (tag) customer property and equipment. Securely store aircraft components and other customer assets.
- Adhere to standard operating procedures when utilizing ground support equipment (external power carts, hydraulic power units, hydraulic lift platforms, forklifts, compressed gas cylinders, etc.).
- Guarantee that all customer property is adequately protected.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Utilize the material tracking system to generate parts demand and allocate labor to Work Orders, items, and squawks.
- Properly collect and dispose of waste fuel, oil, hydraulic and de-icing fluids, and solvent rags. Implement 6S and Lean Initiatives to maintain cleanliness and organization in shops, hangars, and aircraft work areas.
- Effectively use and maintain company-provided tools and equipment. Return items to their designated storage area after use.
- Comply with safety regulations and procedures. Use protective equipment as necessary and remain vigilant for unsafe conditions. Address and report unsafe conditions to prevent risks to personnel or property.
- In support of aircraft certification and final phase testing, may involve conducting flight tests on aircraft as required.
Perform other assigned duties as necessary.
