Job Title: SEMH Teaching Assistant - Secondary

Job Description:

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide individualized support to students with social, emotional, and mental health needs, promoting their well-being and academic success.
  • Collaborate with teachers and other support staff to develop and implement strategies to support students with SEMH needs.
  • Assist in creating a safe and inclusive learning environment, encouraging students to participate in class activities and develop social skills.
  • Work closely with Educational Psychologists, Paediatricians, and other professionals to ensure students receive comprehensive support.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with students, parents, and school staff to ensure effective communication and support.
  • Participate in training and professional development to enhance skills and knowledge in supporting students with SEMH needs.
Requirements
  • Enhanced DBS registration or willingness to apply.
  • Previous experience working with students with SEMH needs or similar.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
