Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct proactive and preventative maintenance on a variety of site equipment.
- Perform reactive repairs and troubleshoot issues in an active distribution environment.
- Utilize advanced tools to optimize equipment performance.
- Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations.
- Assist in the training and development of onsite apprentices.
- Engage in continuous improvement initiatives and implement best practices across multiple sites.
A Day in the Life:
As an RME Technician, you will be stationed on-site, allowing for immediate response to any machinery concerns. You will execute planned preventative maintenance to ensure equipment operates safely. Additionally, you will address breakdowns promptly, investigating and implementing solutions efficiently. Suggestions for long-term enhancements will also be part of your responsibilities.
Working closely with senior team members, you will handle daily maintenance tasks such as plumbing and painting, and coordinate with external contractors when specialized expertise is required.
Your schedule will include various shifts to ensure our operations are supported continuously, enabling Amazon to maintain its renowned delivery speed.
About the Team:The RME team is dedicated to keeping our equipment in peak condition. We are a technically skilled group, comprised of collaborative individuals guided by experienced leaders. Together, we maintain, troubleshoot, and repair machinery across our global fulfillment network.

From the installation of automated systems to the general maintenance of facilities and the repair of critical distribution equipment, our team manages a wide array of technical responsibilities.
We ensure that all buildings comply with legal standards, prioritizing safety and operational efficiency. There are numerous opportunities for career advancement, both within the RME team and throughout Amazon.
Our focus is on minimizing downtime at Amazon's essential operational sites, ensuring timely order fulfillment for our customers. We often work during early or late hours to perform maintenance with minimal disruption, including night shifts.
