Cybersecurity Operational Technology (OT) Architect Position
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to fill the role of Cybersecurity Operational Technology (OT) Architect. This critical position involves designing, implementing, and maintaining secure OT solutions that meet the needs of our clients in the Life Science industry.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop secure OT architectures that balance scalability, performance, manageability, and security requirements.
- Translate business needs into technical specifications for OT security solutions, ensuring alignment with industry best practices.
- Develop reference architectures for various OT environments within the organization, considering scalability, performance, and security.
- Lead the selection and integration of security solutions (firewalls, SIEM, vulnerability management, intrusion detection systems, etc.) within the OT architecture.
- Participate in the design and implementation of secure OT network segmentation strategies, ensuring the protection of critical infrastructure.
- Conduct threat modeling exercises to identify potential vulnerabilities within the OT architecture, and develop mitigation strategies.
- Develop and maintain OT architecture documentation, including diagrams, specifications, and deployment plans, to ensure clarity and consistency.
- Stay up-to-date with emerging OT security technologies and best practices, and integrate them into the architecture to ensure the highest level of security.
- Experience with OT architecture design methodologies (e.g., Purdue Model) and familiarity with OT automation and orchestration tools (e.g., SCADA, DCS).
- Understanding of industrial control system (ICS) protocols (e.g., Modbus, DNP3) and experience with security information and event management (SIEM) systems for OT environments.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field (Master's degree a plus).
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in OT architecture or a related role, with a proven track record of developing and managing OT security programs.
- Strong understanding of OT systems, protocols, and vulnerabilities, as well as in-depth knowledge of cybersecurity principles and best practices (CISSP or equivalent certification preferred).
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to interact with all levels of management, business leaders, and technology stakeholders, and to understand the privacy and confidentiality of clients (subject to non-disclosure agreements).
