Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Lead Healthcare Assistant to join our forward-thinking female respiratory ward at University Hospitals Plymouth NHS Trust. As a key member of our team, you will provide high-quality clinical support to our patients, working closely with our Registered Nurses to deliver exceptional care.

Main Responsibilities
  • Assist in the delivery of care planned and assessed by the Registered Nurses.
  • Carry out care and other duties under indirect supervision.
  • Supervise junior healthcare assistants, contributing to their training and development.
  • Undertake specific extended skills.

Key Skills and Qualifications

Person Specification

We are looking for individuals who possess effective and appropriate communication skills, both written and verbal. You should be able to complete accurate documentation and demonstrate an awareness of healthcare work and policies and procedures.

We require one of the following qualifications: Level 3 (SCQF - 6), NVQ 3, BTEC National Diploma, or equivalent experience. Additionally, you should have Level 2 Functional skills in English and Math's, or equivalent.
