Cloud Solutions Architect

We are seeking a talented Cloud Solutions Architect to join our client's dynamic team. This role involves a blend of pre-sales and technical responsibilities, providing a great opportunity to showcase your expertise in cloud technologies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Pre-Sales: Lead or assist senior architects with Requests for Information (RFI), Requests for Proposal (RFP), and business development for medium and large clients on AWS, Azure, or GCP platforms.
  • Collaborate with bid teams to create public cloud designs and cost estimates for bid documentation.
  • Participate in bid team presentations as needed.
  • Support the cloud team on strategic deal opportunities.
Technical:
  • Analyze and resolve customer issues, identifying new opportunities.
  • Develop in-depth technical knowledge of cloud products, solutions, and services to produce high-quality designs for Azure, AWS, or GCP.
  • Build strong relationships with teams and clients to understand and translate requirements into effective cloud designs.
  • Ensure designs adhere to best practices and are of the highest standard.
  • Take responsibility for all aspects of your cloud infrastructure designs, from security to documentation.
  • Provide feedback and peer reviews on designs produced by colleagues.
  • Continuously seek feedback and improve service offerings.
  • Identify opportunities to automate manual functions and present justifications to management.
  • Stay updated on developments in Azure, AWS, or GCP, applying new features and functionality to existing design patterns.
  • Maintain project progress and documentation using Jira/Confluence.
Skills and Experience
  • Professional Attributes: Build strong relationships with internal and external customers. Demonstrate a desire for continuous learning and knowledge sharing. Communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Essential: Passion for technology. Experience in a technical pre-sales role, producing bid documentation and participating in technical bid presentations. Certifications in AWS, Azure, or GCP (or equivalent). Hands-on technical experience in IT, with a strong understanding of compute infrastructure, storage, networking, and management. Knowledge of cloud managed services. Understanding of cloud technologies, cloud-native design, and best practices. Strong understanding of cloud security and secure design practices. Recent experience with Windows and/or Linux operating systems. Familiarity with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines. Willingness to travel occasionally. Ability to obtain SC/DV clearance, essential for working with high-priority clients.
  • Desirable: Experience with scripting languages such as Terraform, Ansible, Python, or Powershell. Knowledge of development pipeline technologies like Jenkins, Git, and Github. Experience automating infrastructure deployment using CloudFormation, Terraform, Ansible, Salt, Chef, or Puppet (or equivalent).
