Position: Manufacturing Process Engineer

Location: Cardiff

Salary: £35,000 - £45,000 per annum

We are currently seeking a skilled Manufacturing Process Engineer to join our team at Premier Engineering. In this role, you will play a crucial part in driving the implementation and enhancement of lean methodologies and continuous improvement initiatives across the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and sustain automated and standalone manufacturing systems, tools, and fixtures to fulfill project specifications and adhere to safety regulations.
  • Compile and assist in the formulation of vital documentation, including risk assessments and operational work instructions, to promote safe working environments.
  • Conduct repair and modification tasks on site facilities and equipment, which includes electrical wiring and service installation duties.

Qualifications:

  • Proficient in the installation of single and three-phase electrical circuits.
  • ~18th Edition Electrical Wiring Qualification is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Experience in design-level programming with PLCs and/or control systems, particularly with Siemens S7 and UR 6-axis robots.
  • Ability to interpret and understand engineering drawings and schematic diagrams.
  • Competence in operating workshop machinery, including lathes and milling machines.
  • Awareness of legislative standards related to the Machinery Directive and equipment construction.
  • Familiarity with 5S principles, lean manufacturing techniques, and health, safety, and environmental (HS&E) protocols.
