We are in search of a dedicated and seasoned professional to join our award-winning Communications team as a Senior Officer for Media Relations and Social Engagement.

In this role, you will leverage your outstanding media relations expertise and comprehensive understanding of the news cycle to identify and develop compelling media stories. You will engage with a diverse range of projects, fostering positive relationships with journalists and serving as their primary contact for media inquiries.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Creating captivating social and digital content that resonates with our audience.
  • Proactively seeking opportunities across various channels to enhance the visibility of the Council and its services.
  • Collaborating closely with elected officials, senior management, and colleagues across the organization, as well as with external partners.
