Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Team Leader to join our Blue Octopus team. As a Team Leader, you will be responsible for overseeing a multi-skilled team that delivers gardening maintenance and communal cleaning services to our housing stock.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise a team of gardening maintenance professionals to ensure the delivery of high-quality services to our customers.
  • Manage and maintain a budget for gardening maintenance and communal cleaning services.
  • Conduct regular inspections of void property gardens to ensure they meet our standards.
  • Develop and implement effective strategies to improve the appearance and maintenance of our communal land and areas.
  • Collaborate with the NEAT maintenance manager to ensure the effective delivery of estate-based services.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety policies and procedures in the workplace.
  • Provide day-to-day supervision of the NEAT team and provide guidance and support as needed.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in a team leadership or supervisory role, preferably in a gardening maintenance or landscaping context.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues and customers.
  • Strong budget management and financial planning skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a flexible approach to work.
  • Valid driving license and ability to use a company vehicle.
