Nurse Team Leader

Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Nurse to lead our team of Healthcare Assistants and Donor Care Supervisors. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient running of blood donation sessions, while providing exceptional care to our donors.
Main Responsibilities
- Take clinical responsibility for the safe assessment and blood donation of donors.
- Ensure the safe running of blood donation sessions, including the management of donor flow and the maintenance of a clean and safe environment.
- Develop and implement training programs to ensure the competency and skills of the team.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure the delivery of high-quality care.
- Contribute to the development of policies and procedures to improve the quality of care.
About You
We are looking for a nurse with strong leadership skills, clinical expertise, and a passion for delivering high-quality care. You will have experience of working in a similar role, with a strong understanding of clinical audit and research. You will also have experience of supporting the professional development of others and have a deep understanding of patient safety initiatives and risk management.
Requirements
- Registered Nurse with current Nursing and Midwifery Council registration.
- Hold a full and valid UK driving licence with no more than 6 points.
Working Hours
This role will require you to work on a shift basis, with a normal working pattern of 2 days per week or 4 days per fortnight. You will be required to work some long hours, but you will not be working more than 5 days per week.
