Exciting Opportunity in Road Maintenance

We are seeking a skilled Roadworker 2 to join the Argyll Bute Council team. This permanent position involves working 37 hours a week from Monday to Friday, contributing to the upkeep and maintenance of our road infrastructure.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for participating in emergency works outside regular hours and standing by during the Summer and Winter seasons. This role requires a high level of physical fitness and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Participate in routine maintenance and repair of roads and highways
  • Respond to emergency situations and incidents
  • Collaborate with colleagues to achieve team goals and objectives

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Previous experience in road maintenance or a related field
  • Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces
