Salary: £30,000 to £40,000 per annum (plus benefits)

Premier Group Recruitment is seeking a skilled Steel Erector to join our client's team in Gloucester. Our client specializes in steel construction and is looking to expand their workforce with a dedicated professional experienced in erecting steel structures.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Erecting steel structures, frameworks, and other components on construction sites
  • Assembling and installing steel beams, columns, and girders according to specifications
  • Using cranes and other lifting equipment to position steel components
  • Ensuring all work is performed safely and in compliance with health and safety regulations
  • Collaborating with other team members and contractors to ensure project timelines are met
  • Inspecting and maintaining equipment to ensure proper functioning
  • Performing welding and bolting tasks as required
  • Identifying and resolving any issues that arise during the erection process
Requirements:
  • Proven experience in steel erection and construction
  • Relevant certification or qualification in construction or a related field (NVQ, CSCS card, etc.)
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and plans
  • Strong understanding of safety regulations and procedures
  • Proficiency with tools and equipment used in steel erection
  • Physical fitness and ability to work at heights
  • Excellent teamwork and communication skills
  • A keen eye for detail and commitment to quality workmanship
