About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Civil Engineer to join our team in delivering water and wastewater solutions. As a key member of our multi-disciplinary project team, you will be responsible for providing civil engineering technical capability and design expertise to develop and deliver water and wastewater solutions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop civil engineering solutions for water and wastewater projects, ensuring compliance with relevant standards and regulations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver projects on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
  • Drive excellence in health and safety in design, eliminating hazards and reducing risks during the design phase.
  • Progress projects from feasibility stage through detailed design to construction, ensuring seamless handovers to construction teams.
  • Undertake site visits to assess current conditions of assets, gather data, and inform design solutions.
  • Develop and maintain Standard Products used in design solutions, ensuring consistency and efficiency.
  • Identify and promote opportunities to meet project digital, sustainability, innovation, and people objectives.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A minimum of HNC/HND in Civil Engineering or equivalent experience.
  • Demonstrable experience in undertaking design of various civil engineering structures within the water and wastewater industry.
  • Proficiency in using MS Office suite and relevant engineering design software packages.
  • Ability to interpret ground investigation reports and design solutions accordingly.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work with a range of stakeholders.
  • Excellent reporting and writing skills, with the ability to analyze data and suggest enhanced ways of working.
