Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Credit Sanctioner to join our Real Estate Credit Team at Barclays International UK Corporate Bank. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for analyzing and evaluating credit proposals for Real Estate UK Corporate and SPV lending.

Key Responsibilities
  • Sanctioning credit proposals within delegated discretion and presenting to higher-level sanctioners when necessary.
  • Identifying adverse trends in client credit profiles and ensuring timely referrals to Watchlist/Special Asset Management.
  • Providing portfolio and management information to support business decisions.
  • Liaising with support functions such as Portfolio, Legal, Compliance, and Lending Operations to ensure effective risk management.
  • Attending credit-focused client calls and meetings to maintain effective relationships with key business and risk stakeholders.
Requirements
  • Corporate credit analysis skills with considerable analytical and numerical abilities to challenge and structure proposals.
  • Problem-solving and decision-making capabilities to ensure effective risk management.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Proven credit sanctioning experience, particularly with ordinary office-type applications.
