Job Title: Clinical / Counselling / Forensic Psychologist - Part time

We are seeking an experienced Clinical / Counselling / Forensic Psychologist to join our integrated Mental Healthcare team at HMP Wealstun. As a key member of the clinical leadership team, you will play a vital role in supporting the development of the psychological therapies service.

About the Role

This part-time position (27 hours per week) offers a competitive salary of up to £60,000 per annum (FTE) depending on experience. You will be working in a dynamic and challenging environment, providing clinical support and oversight to the Integrated Mental Health Team (IMHT). Your responsibilities will include:

  • Offering clinical support and training to the IMHT
  • Undertaking psychological assessments and supporting complex multi-disciplinary formulations
  • Delivering and overseeing the delivery of 1:1 psychological interventions and group interventions as part of the Trauma Informed 'Making Sense' Programme
  • Delivering teaching and training to healthcare and prison staff as required
  • Contributing to the development of audit, service evaluation, and research profile as appropriate

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Full HCPC registration
  • Proven post-qualification professional experience in Clinical / Forensic or Counselling Psychology
  • Experience working with Forensic Mental Health patients
  • Experience working with psychological Trauma
  • Team Player
