We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Phlebotomist to join our team at the University Hospitals of Leicester NHS Trust. As a Phlebotomist, you will play a vital role in providing a high-quality service to both inpatient and outpatient areas across our three hospital sites.
Key Responsibilities- Collect blood samples from patients in a safe and efficient manner.
- Provide excellent customer service and maintain a professional demeanor at all times.
- Work effectively as part of a team to ensure the smooth operation of the phlebotomy service.
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development to maintain and improve skills and knowledge.
- Contribute to the maintenance of a clean and safe environment, adhering to infection control policies and procedures.
- Good standard of English, both written and spoken.
- Minimum of 1 year experience of working with the general public in a customer-focused environment.
- Good communication skills and ability to work effectively with patients, colleagues, and other stakeholders.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and work to strict deadlines.
- Previous phlebotomy experience is desirable but not essential.
