Randstad Care is seeking a dedicated and experienced Independent Reviewing Officer (IRO) to oversee the care planning and review process for children in care. This role involves ensuring the well-being and best interests of children are prioritized, and that their care plans are effective and tailored to their individual needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough and regular reviews of children's care plans to ensure they are meeting their needs and are effective
- Collaborate with social workers, carers, and other professionals to ensure a cohesive and child-centered approach to care planning
- Provide guidance and support to social workers to help them develop and implement effective care plans
- Monitor and evaluate the progress of children in care, making recommendations for improvements as needed
Requirements
- Strong background in social work, particularly in child protection and care planning
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with children, families, and professionals
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong commitment to delivering high-quality services
- Knowledge of relevant legislation and policies, including the Children Act 1989 and the Care Planning, Placement and Case Review (England) Regulations 2010
