About the Role

Kenton Black Finance is seeking a highly skilled Financial Controller to join our team. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for overseeing the financial function of one of our manufacturing divisions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Line management of 1 experienced Management Accountant
  • Overseeing the production of financial reports and management accounts
  • Leading the year end and audit process, being key point of contact for externals
  • Regular liaison with HOD's to evaluate spend against sales performance and cost saving opportunities, influencing and challenging where appropriate
  • Management of cash forecast submissions
  • Lead the budgeting process
  • Responsibility for VAT processing and reporting
  • Ensuring all relevant controls, regulations/compliance and procedures are adhered to correctly
  • Management of inventory
  • Much opportunity to add value through leading various ad hoc projects relating to process implementation and improvements
Requirements
  • Proven experience in a similar level role
  • CIMA/ACA/ACCA qualified (QBE considered)
  • Good strength of character with ability to confidently communicate and challenge across a variety of internal and external stakeholders
  • Ability to implement and improve systems and processes
