Envar Composting operates in the field of organic waste and biomass recycling, focusing on the sustainable and economical management of waste streams for local authorities.
Role Overview:
We are seeking a Weighbridge Technician to become a part of our team.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Manage vehicle traffic entering the site and operate the weighbridge system.
- Familiarize yourself with the Wastemetrix software for weighbridge operations.
- Precisely document weights and waste categories per vehicle, ensuring all necessary paperwork is completed and driver signatures are obtained.
- Efficiently process delivery documentation and tickets.
- Immediately report any discrepancies or errors in the weighbridge system to the relevant personnel.
- Verify the accuracy of waste yardage reports and associated charges.
- Build and maintain relationships with customers and site visitors, addressing inquiries both in person and electronically.
- Inform weighbridge users of site regulations and provide necessary guidance.
- Confirm that vehicles arriving at the site possess the correct documentation and EWC codes.
- Assist with general administrative tasks and customer service, including managing phone calls and directing inquiries appropriately.
- Promptly report any health and safety concerns to management.
Required Qualifications:
- Prior experience in a similar position.
- Familiarity with the Wastemetrix system.
