Position Overview: We are seeking a dedicated Logistics Operations Specialist to manage multimodal freight forwarding operations, ensuring exceptional service for our global clientele.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as the primary liaison between clients and service providers, ensuring all requirements are fulfilled within agreed timelines.
- Operate independently while maintaining high standards of service.
- Coordinate with international offices regarding shipment logistics, taking ownership of tracking progress and updating clients on their shipments.
- Facilitate booking of deliveries and arrange for collections as needed.
- Prepare Customs declarations in compliance with regulatory requirements, including the collection of applicable duties and taxes.
- Possess a solid understanding of operational workflows, including import/export regulations and customs compliance.
- Demonstrate proficiency in IT tools, particularly MS Office applications such as Word and Excel.
- Exhibit excellent communication skills, both verbally and in writing, to interact effectively with clients and internal teams.
Compensation and Benefits:
- Competitive salary range of £27,000 to £30,000, with flexibility for the right candidate.
- Generous leave policy including 26 days of annual leave plus 8 statutory holidays, with an option to purchase additional leave.
- Life Assurance coverage at 4 times the salary.
- Participation in a bonus scheme.
- Contributory pension plan.
- Standard working hours from Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM.
