Job Summary:

Venture Up is seeking a highly skilled Network and Linux Infrastructure Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our infrastructure team, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our network and Linux infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement scalable, robust, and well-thought-out engineering solutions for our network and Linux infrastructure.
  • Work closely with our quantitative researchers and software engineers to build and support systematic trading models.
  • Collaborate with our team to ensure the smooth operation of our network and Linux infrastructure.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation for our network and Linux infrastructure.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest technologies and trends in network and Linux infrastructure.

Requirements:

  • Thorough understanding of network and routing protocols (TCP/IP, LACP, MLAG, OSPF, and BGP).
  • Hands-on experience with enterprise-class networking platforms (Arista, Cisco - IOS, Nexus).
  • Thorough understanding of Next-Gen Firewalls (Palo Alto, Fortinet, Cisco Firepower).
  • Network and Linux administration and security - authentication and authorization systems, audit, hardening, analysis (including IPSEC and RADIUS).
  • Excellent troubleshooting and creative problem-solving abilities, including packet-level traffic analysis.
  • Technical architecture and design including high availability systems and networks.
  • Advanced programming and scripting for automation - Ansible, Python, and Bash.
